Slabjacking Benefits

In what ways, if any, will slabjacking benefit you? Whether you’re not sure what to do about cracked and sinking concrete and are debating whether or not to replace the entire surface, you may be wondering if there is a simpler way to fix the damage.

Frequently, we are asked why polyurethane foam is preferable to concrete grout for lifting already-cleared concrete slabs. Weight savings is a major perk. Structural polyurethane training foam can range in density from 3.5 to 5.0 lb. per cubic foot. Concrete grout has the same volume but is heavier at 140 pounds per cubic foot. This means that using concrete adds 30–40 times as much weight as using polyurethane. You’ll be doing yourself a huge favor in the long run if you choose lighter products. Polyurethane (is) robust enough to support any structure.

Below, I will discuss some of slabjacking’s advantages.

The Results Were Positive.
The technique’s efficacy is a major benefit. The item will no longer sink and will remain stable; it can then be raised or lowered to achieve the desired height or depth.

Quick and Undisruptive Action.
There is no need to move any bulky equipment or containers stored on your concrete slab. Because slabjacking is such an efficient repair process, it is not necessary to move any large items off the surface in advance of the project.

Price Dropped Dramatically.
The expense of replacing an entire concrete slab is substantial. Not only are the materials and labor expenses, but they are also rather scarce. The cost of slab jacking is typically one-third that of a full foundation replacement.

Keep the Part in the Shade.
If you only repair a small area of your concrete, it will likely dry a different color from the rest of the slab. The visual appeal of a home could be diminished as a result of this. Preserve the original concrete, including its even tinting, which adds to the structure’s aesthetic attractiveness.

Instant Results without the Fuss
When a building’s foundation is completely redone, the concrete must cure for 28 days before receiving normal stress. Slab jacking involves no lengthy waiting period where the concrete should treat because it is only the process of injecting grout to raise the foundation. However, we advise you to wait at least 12 hours before returning to normal traffic. Furthermore, unlike other foundation replacement methods, slab jacking does not produce excessive particles or noise levels.

There is zero downtime before use again.
If you opt to rebuild the concrete in its entirety, you won’t have access to the area for at least a couple of weeks. As much as a month may pass before concrete is fully cured. This is a major issue if your job requires you to regularly operate a vehicle or other piece of machinery in an external environment. Fixes that involve slabjacking typically require less downtime before they can be used again. Within a few hours after the project is finished, the repaired concrete can be used for walking or driving.
