1. Base Preparation

Concrete placement

To attain this strength, the water-cement ratio should be kept at or below 0.5, corresponding to a 5-inch slump concrete.

After mixing the water, the concrete is poured within 90 minutes. A hand vibrator is used to guarantee optimum compaction of the concrete slab and to remove surplus water.

Heavy Loads – If your garage floor will be subjected to frequent traffic from heavy vehicles, concrete six to eight inches thick is advised. Furthermore, the floor must be carefully coated and sealed so that severe loads, such as huge vehicles, do not cause the concrete to break.
